Our Beginnings
In 2014, former personal trainer Justin Andrews set up a core exercise with a long isometric phase for one of his clients, Krista Jacobsen. When Krista’s abs were still sore several days later, she said to Justin, half-jokingly, “We should make a machine to do that.” Over the next several months, Justin and Krista continued to joke about “the machine.”
Eventually the banter grew into serious discussions about incorporating technology into exercise equipment to make workouts more effective, efficient, and motivating. Krista reached out to her friend, engineer Nick Sands. The team founded Disruptive Force LLC in 2015, and the first prototype Axon® was born in 2016.
Since then, we have refined Axon's® design and operation and now bring the hand-built, pre-production version of Axon® to market.
